THE BRAKE OF AUVERGNE
We are Erik Martin and Laurie Bérubé, passionate about hunting dogs for several years, but more particularly the Braque of Auvergne. Very widespread and known in Quebec, we would like to have it discovered to the hunters as well as families.
France, its country of origin has only about 300 births annually which is very little! In Quebec, no birth in 2009 and 2010, for the moment in 2011 we count only 3 !!! Auvergne’s blue is a dog that made his appearance in France probably by the Knights of Malta. This is a well-fixed race for more than 2 centuries and mainly high by and for hunters. Nevertheless, there is an excellent family companion. Its black and white dress more or less speckled or grayed it worth this widespread name of Auvergne blue.
Its temperament
It’s a calm dog in the house when he had his expense of daily energy, he loves comfort and above all this is an excessively cuddly dog. It is a methodical dog so slower than the German Braque, renowned busty hunter the blue is a good dog for the partridge, but less suitable for the duck although some are suitable for pleasure! The Auvergne Braque is known for genetic tares such as hip dysplasia and according to some, elbow dysplasia and eye tares.
The importance of evidence
It is important that the subjects used by the breeding breeder be tested and the radiographs read by radiologists of experience like those of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals), that the breeder provides you with the proof of official tests and that dogs are free from this tare. The breed is recognized by the Canine Federation of Canada. However, remember that recording is not a quality guarantee of the breeder, purity of the race, but a breeder who records these dogs is not absolutely an excellent breeder in all breeds confused !
On the other hand, it is important to focus on the breeder who provided registration, health tests, a dog complies with the standard of the race, which makes these dogs evaluate under judges during dog conformation exhibitions, and which does this why the breed is designed, either hunting for us, natural skill tests or training on domestic birds failing to provide a real hunting environment, if it can, to preserve the natural skills of our beautiful breed than is the Auvergne Braque.
We strongly advise you to go on site, many times to see the dogs, chat with the breeder, ask questions, to make sure you make the right choice of breeder. Your dog will be your companion for the next 12-14 years of your life, is better to choose it.
Our breeding carries the affix of the cunning of the woods, it is with pride that we present to you our website: www.wisewoodkennel.com at the pleasure of you vouches!
